Our Story: From a Spark to a Movement
It began with a spark, a handful of women gathering together with open hearts, ready to grow in faith and in each other. We called ourselves Sarah’s Daughters, a sisterhood rooted in prayer, the Word, and encouragement. Under the powerful leadership of Pastor Sebrena Clark, our mission became crystal clear: to live, serve, and gather.
Over the decades, our ministry has continually evolved to meet the changing needs of women. We’ve journeyed from Sarah’s Daughters to W.O.W. (Women of the Word, Worship, and Warfare), with each season preparing us for a powerful new era.
In 2019, that momentum culminated in a fresh vision and a new identity: Awaken.
Born out of a deep desire to be fully alive to what God is doing globally, locally, and within our individual lives, Awaken instantly transcended being just an event—it became a movement.
Through every season, we have aroused the hearts of women to rise, enlightened minds with the truth, empowered hands to build, and equipped souls to stand. This is our legacy… and the story is still being written.
The Annual Women's Conference
A cornerstone of our ministry is our Annual Women’s Conference, a landmark gathering we have proudly hosted every year since 2005.
What began with our very first conference, “Finally You”—a bold call for women to embrace their God-given identity—has become a generation-defining tradition. Year after year, God gives Pastor Sebrena and our leadership a fresh, prophetic vision to anchor this gathering. It is a powerful time where women from all walks of life come together to be refreshed, restored, and propelled into their purpose.
