No Better Sacrifice / Love at Best

By Stephanie Shannon

We all need to know and experience the presence, power, and love of God in our lives. We need to know that God deeply loves us and wants the very best for us. This is why He made provision before this world began, that He would send His Son to die an innocent death, that we may know true Love. God knows that we need a faith that identifies His existence, and His existence in our own lives. He made a way for us to personally know the saving knowledge of Jesus, and how we can become His very own children by accepting Him into our hearts. By becoming His children, our existence is now eternal with Him. There’s no greater sacrifice in this world.

His love affords us the ability to love others the way He loves and cares for us. The love of God carries us through our day to day lives. The obstacles and disappointments that we face just aren’t the same when we tap into God’s healing presence, and allow Him to lead and guide our days according to His perfect will. He never intended for us to live comfortless, as He is the Comforter, and a continual present help in time of need, every day, for everyone. That knowledge is so amazing in itself. His infinite power and omnipresence is here with you, and me. He knows what you’re feeling and thinking. He knows your plans; He knows your faults. Yet, He is faithful, and steers us in the right direction that we may be pleasing in His sight. God provides a sustaining love.

We are able to transcend into deeper dimensions and levels of maturity in our faith, while using God as our Anchor and Master. He hides us when needed, and exposes us for His glory. Discipline is another attribute of His love and faithfulness, and His way of perfecting all that concerns us because He loves us with His whole heart, just as He desires that we love Him with ours. True Love wants a person’s betterment to take place. It wants to see the goodness of them, and their prosperity. Anything less is not God’s best.

As we celebrate the Reason for this season, we remember our joy is not in Easter eggs or chocolate bunnies, but in the sacrificial Love of God, sending His Son in the form of man, to die an innocent death in place of our sin. There’s no greater Love, no better Sacrifice.
