Reading the Word comes with Benefits

Contrary to popular belief, “fake it ’till you make it” does not apply to our Christian walk. Our walk is supposed to reflect Gods Word. One can learn how much of the Word is in you by how much of His ways you portray!

You Are What You Eat1 John 2:3-6, And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, in him truly is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that said he stays in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

Contrary to popular belief, “fake it ’till you make it” does not apply to our Christian walk. Our walk is supposed to reflect Gods Word. One can learn how much of the Word is in you by how much of His ways you portray! We cannot accurately claim to know God if we do not dive into His Word! Why settle for just word of mouth instead of getting the Word from HIS mouth? To study to show ourselves approved is to study to walk a life that certifies us as a child of the King! It’s not enough to just say, “I know Him!” Our lives must say that before we open our mouths. In order to do so, we not only have to read His Word, but allow it to settle in and take residence. Learn to look at your relation to Gods Holy Scriptures as you do with Food. Reading the Word is like going shopping for food. Breaking the Word down or listening to the teachings of our Bishop is like preparing the food for consumption. Yet, the most vital aspect of receiving Gods Word, just like food, is to ingest and digest! Once this is done, our life and health will reflect what we have consumed! In short…” you are what you eat!”
